ENVIRONMENTAL CONTRIBUTION – WEEE REGULATIONS (FRANCE)

Information regarding the environmental recycling fee

Probois Machinoutils is a member of the approved French eco-organization Ecosystem in accordance with Articles L.541-10 et seq. of the French Environmental Code under the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme.

As such, we contribute financially to the collection, removal, and treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) generated by products placed on the French market.

The environmental fee corresponds to this mandatory environmental contribution.

Principle of the environmental fee

The environmental fee:

• Is a mandatory environmental contribution

• Is set according to the official tariff schedule of the approved eco-organization

• Applies to electrical and electronic equipment placed on the French market

• Is subject to the same VAT rate as the product

• Must be clearly displayed on the invoice

This fee is added to the product price at checkout.

Scope

Applies to household Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) as defined in Articles R.543-172 et seq. of the French Environmental Code.

For our products, this mainly concerns:

Category 6 – Electrical and electronic tools

Our obligations

As a member of Ecosystem, we must:

• Declare quantities placed on the French market

• Pay the corresponding financial contributions

• Provide necessary information for WEEE processing

• Demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations

2025 Environmental Fee Schedule

Category 06.1 – Portable power tools
€0.70 excl. VAT (€0.85 incl. VAT)

Category 06.2 – Large tools
€2.33 excl. VAT (€2.80 incl. VAT)

Amounts may be updated annually.

All collected fees are fully transferred to the eco-organization to finance recycling operations.
