This category covers spare parts for the Leman TAB050 wood lathe. This 230 V bench lathe uses a 750 W DC motor, three mechanical belt ranges and electronic speed adjustment with a digital display. Speed spans 250 to 3850 rpm, with 510 mm between centres and 320 mm swing over the bed.
Parts availability changes over time. For reliable identification Leman specifies base spare-parts reference 150600 plus the exploded-view item number. Rating-plate details and manufacturing date are also important.
The TAB050 uses a 750 W DC motor working together with the electronic controller, Poly-V belt and control system.
If power is low or the motor behaves irregularly, first check supply, carbon brushes, controller, belt and free spindle rotation. A transmission or controller fault can resemble motor failure.
There are three mechanical ranges: 250-750, 550-1650 and 1300-3850 rpm. Belt position selects the range and the electronic controller provides fine adjustment.
For unstable speed or loss of adjustment, distinguish between controller, speed sensor, wiring, motor and mechanical transmission before replacing electronics.
The Poly-V belt transfers motor power and selects the three mechanical ranges. Wear, slackness or damage can cause slipping, vibration or loss of drive.
Inspect pulley grooves, alignment and freedom of rotation. Repeated belt damage may indicate pulley, alignment, tension or bearing problems.
A speed sensor supplies information to the digital speed display. Missing or incorrect display therefore does not automatically mean a faulty motor or controller.
Check sensor position, connections and wiring. Photograph connectors before dismantling electronic components.
The headstock has an M33 x 3.5 threaded spindle with MT2 taper and forward/reverse rotation. Reverse operation requires correctly secured compatible accessories.
Runout or vibration may come from spindle bearings or simply a poorly fitted accessory. Test the bare spindle by hand with the machine unplugged.
The spindle has 24-position indexing for suitable operations with the machine stopped.
If indexing becomes stiff, inspect alignment, cleanliness and locking components. Do not use indexing to resist excessive torque.
The cast-iron tailstock uses an MT2 taper, 10 mm bore and approximately 60 mm quill travel. Handwheel, quill, screw and clamps control work support.
If the tailstock slips or the quill binds, diagnose bed clamping separately from quill movement before replacing parts.
The lathe has a 200 mm cast-iron tool rest on an adjustable banjo with eccentric clamping.
If it moves during use, inspect handle, clamping plate, base and contact surfaces. Excessive tightening can damage threads or cast parts.
Vibration, power loss and unstable speed can come from workpiece imbalance, excessive speed, accessory mounting, belt, bearings, brushes, sensor or controller.
Remove the workpiece, check accessories and mechanical spindle rotation, then transmission and electrical components. This helps replace only the genuinely faulty part.
Leman identifies TAB050 parts with 150600 + exploded-view item number. The diagram is more reliable than visual similarity, especially for electrical components and clamping parts.
If a part is not listed, send model, rating plate, manufacturing date, item number and clear photos. Photograph electrical connections before removal.

IMPORTANT: BEFORE PURCHASING, carefully check the compatible-machine list on each product page. TAB050 production has evolved; for example, different carbon brushes are used before 2017 and from 2017 onward.
The model name alone may not be enough. If in doubt send the exact model, month/year of manufacture and serial number, and compare electrical references and connectors.
Clean the bed, clamps and drive area regularly. Monitor belt, brushes, spindle and tailstock movement, and tool-rest rigidity. Sharp turning tools also reduce load on motor and electronics.
Probois Machinoutils offers an evolving selection of Leman TAB050 spare parts. Targeted repair can extend the useful life of a mechanically sound lathe.
