This category covers spare parts for the Leman SRU470 single-phase and SRU470T three-phase band saws. These heavy workshop saws use large cast-iron wheels, a tilting table, rack-adjusted upper blade guide, graduated tensioning system, quick blade-release lever and two-speed belt drive. The SRU470 uses a 1900 W 230 V motor; the SRU470T uses a 2000 W 400 V motor.
Parts availability changes over time. Correctly identify the electrical version: Leman specifies 110300 + exploded-view number for SRU470 and 110400 + exploded-view number for SRU470T.
The balanced cast-iron wheels are approximately 475 mm in diameter and have rubber running surfaces. The exploded diagram separately identifies upper and lower wheels, wheel rubber, shafts and bearings.
If the blade wanders or vibrates, check tension and tracking first, then tyres, bearing play and free rotation. Keep the lower-wheel cleaning brush in good condition.
The saw uses upper and lower roller blade guides. The upper guide is rack-mounted and height-adjustable by handwheel so it can be positioned close to the workpiece.
A wandering cut can also result from blade condition, tooth set, tension or excessive feed. Guides should support the blade without excessive permanent contact.
Blade tension is adjusted by an externally readable graduated handwheel, while a quick-release lever allows the tension to be released. The parts diagram includes tension shaft, spring, upper-wheel support, slide and release mechanism.
If tension cannot be set, inspect blade length and installation plus rods, shafts, spring, threads and supports before replacing a complete assembly.
The SRU470 runs at 380 or 820 m/min by changing belt position. The diagram lists a Poly-V belt, motor pulley, wheel pulley and belt-tensioning assembly.
For slipping, speed loss or noise, inspect belt, pulleys, alignment and tensioner. A new belt will not cure a seized bearing or excessive blade tension.
The 725 x 485 mm table tilts from -10° to +45°. The machine has a quick-lock rip fence and mitre gauge adjustable from -60° to +60°.
If an adjustment binds, clean sawdust from slides and racks and inspect handles, screws and supports before forcing or replacing parts.
SRU470 uses 1900 W single-phase power; SRU470T uses 2000 W three-phase power. The parts list includes motor, control box, wiring and door safety switches.
If the saw will not start, check supply, door closure, safety switches and mechanical freedom first. Never bypass safety devices.
Both versions use a 3454 mm blade and accept widths from 6 to 40 mm. Narrow blades suit curves; wider blades provide stability for straight cutting and ripping.
A blunt, distorted or poorly set blade can cause wandering, vibration, heating or breakage. Check blade, tension, tracking and guides before blaming mechanical parts.
The machine documentation links cutting problems to blade condition and tooth set, tracking, upper-wheel inclination and bearing condition. Similar symptoms can therefore have different causes.
Check blade and installation, tension/tracking, guides, wheels/bearings and finally the drive. This helps replace only the genuinely faulty component.
The machine has two 100 mm dust outlets. Effective extraction limits sawdust around wheels, cleaning brush, guides and drive.
With the machine unplugged, clean deposits and monitor belt, tyres, bearings and guides. Refit all guards before powered testing.
The SRU470/SRU470T manual contains several exploded diagrams and detailed parts lists. Record machine version, figure, item number and description, plus base reference 110300 or 110400 as applicable.
