Fibre discs are abrasive discs made of vulcanised fibre. Vulcanised fibre is a traditional composite material produced by vulcanisation from cellular material; this makes it possible to obtain a type of plastic from the natural raw material paper. Due to the production from a sustainable raw material, the classic vulcanised fibre is being brought back into fashion, and Klingspor is adapting to it. A hard and tough corundum is used as the abrasive grain for the product. The vulcanized fiber disc is coated with synthetic resin on one side. The abrasive grain in dense powder coating is incorporated into it in a stable and solid manner.
