This category covers spare parts for the Leman SRU355 band saw. This workshop machine has balanced cast-iron wheels, upper and lower three-bearing blade guides, a tilting saw table and a two-speed belt drive. These assemblies may require adjustment, maintenance or replacement during the life of the saw.
Availability changes with Leman production and supply. The current products are therefore not a permanent inventory. For reliable identification, use the SRU355 reference, exploded-diagram figure, item number and part description, as specified in the machine manual.
The wheels provide continuous blade travel. On the SRU355 they are cast iron and fitted with rubber tyres. Wheel condition, tyres, shafts and bearings directly affect tracking and stability. A cleaning brush on the lower wheel also helps keep the blade-contact area clean.
If the blade tends to leave the wheels, first check tension, installation and tracking adjustment. Then inspect tyres, bearings and sawdust build-up. A distorted blade or incorrect adjustment can create symptoms similar to worn mechanical parts.
The SRU355 has upper and lower three-bearing blade guides. They support the blade while allowing it to run freely. Side bearings limit lateral movement and the rear thrust bearing supports the blade when feed pressure pushes it backwards.
Blade wander does not automatically mean the guides are faulty. Check blade condition, tooth configuration, tension and feed pressure first. Guides adjusted too tightly can cause heat and wear; they should support the blade without unnecessary pressure.
Blade tension is adjusted by a handwheel acting on the upper-wheel mechanism. The exploded diagram separates the upper wheel assembly, bearing shaft, carrier and related components. A sound tensioning mechanism should adjust progressively without binding or abnormal play.
If correct tension cannot be achieved, check the actual blade length, installation, wheel position and adjustment components before replacing the tensioner. A damaged screw, carrier or related part can also prevent correct adjustment.
The SRU355 provides two blade speeds by changing the belt position. Correct pulley alignment and belt condition are therefore important. A stretched, cracked or worn belt may slip, reduce blade speed or create unusual noise.
Before replacing it, inspect the pulleys and make sure the wheels rotate freely. A new belt will not correct a seized bearing. Refit the belt in the position corresponding to the required speed and with the correct tension.
The cast-iron table tilts up to 45° and includes a 90° positioning stop. The rip fence and mitre gauge contribute to accurate work. Handles, screws, supports and locking mechanisms must hold their settings without excessive play.
If adjustment becomes difficult, clean the surfaces and check clamping first. Sawdust can obstruct a mechanism without a broken part. Do not force a seized handle or screw before finding the cause.
The SRU355 uses a single-phase induction motor and has a safety switch on each door. If the saw does not start, check correct guard closure, power supply, main switch and electrical components before assuming a motor fault.
With the saw unplugged, also make sure the blade, wheels and drive are not mechanically jammed. Internal electrical work must be performed safely by a competent person. Door interlocks must never be bypassed.
The SRU355 uses a 2490 mm blade, available in different widths for different work. Narrow blades are better for curves, while wider blades provide greater stability for ripping and straight cuts. Width, thickness and tooth pitch must suit both machine and task.
A blunt, damaged or poorly set blade can cause wandering, vibration or difficult feed. Before replacing guides or other mechanical parts, test with a sound blade where appropriate and reset tension, tracking and guides.
Irregular cutting can result from a worn blade, incorrect tension, poor tracking, badly adjusted guides, damaged tyres or excessive feed. Repeated blade breakage can also be caused by over-tensioning, curves too tight for the blade width or a mechanical fault.
Work methodically: check the blade and installation first, then adjustments, then mechanical components. This helps replace only the genuinely faulty part and prevents an unresolved problem from damaging new parts.
The Leman manual states that a spare-parts request should include the machine reference, figure, part number and description. This is important because visually similar components are not necessarily interchangeable.

If the part is not listed, send us these details together with photographs of the rating plate and component. Keep the original part and photograph its installation before removal whenever possible. Measurements and markings are useful additional information but do not replace the manufacturer item number.
IMPORTANT: BEFORE PURCHASING, carefully check the list of compatible machines shown on each product page.
For some spare parts, the machine model alone is not sufficient to guarantee compatibility. Production changes may result in different components on machines carrying the same model name.
If in doubt, send us the exact model, month and year of manufacture and serial number before ordering.
Regularly remove sawdust from the wheels, cleaning brush, guides and drive. Use the machine's dust-extraction connection and periodically inspect the blade, tension, tyres, bearings and belt. A clean machine also makes developing play or wear easier to detect.
Probois Machinoutils offers an evolving range of spare parts for the Leman SRU355 band saw. If the frame, table and main assemblies remain sound, targeted repair can considerably extend machine life. Accurate diagnosis and compatibility checking are the basis of a reliable repair.
