In carpentry, the ideal machine for making mortises is the chain mortiser. Whether portable or stationary, the chain wears out, the links break, they must be replaced.
A mortising chain is defined by its thickness, its length and its useful depth. There are 2 types of links, either with a pitch of A = 22.6 mm or with a pitch B = 15.8 mm. The chain is mounted on a guide which can be common to several chain thicknesses. The links and the tips can be changed, we offer all the tools necessary for creating mortises!
