The Holzmann K5260SMART 230 V 5-function combination woodworking machine brings together the main functions required for woodworking in one compact machine: circular saw, spindle moulder, surface planer and thicknesser, with the option of adding a mortising unit.

The Holzmann K5260SMART 230 V allows you to carry out the main operations required for woodworking.

It combines:

• circular saw for ripping and sizing timber and panels;
• spindle moulder for profiling, grooving, rebating and edge machining;
• surface planer for flattening faces and squaring edges;
• thicknesser for accurately calibrating workpieces to the required thickness;
• optional mortising unit to further extend the machine’s machining capabilities.

The different functions are selected using a rotary selector switch, making the machine simple and practical to operate.

Its compact design is particularly suitable for workshops with limited space that require a versatile machine capable of replacing several separate woodworking machines.

260 mm planer-thicknesser with 3-knife cutterblock

The Holzmann K5260SMART combination woodworking machine features a 260 mm planer-thicknesser equipped with a 3-knife cutterblock.

The 70 mm diameter cutterblock runs at 5500 rpm. The three 260 x 25 x 3 mm planer knives are pre-installed.

The 545 x 258 mm thicknessing table allows workpieces up to 225 mm high to be machined, with a maximum depth of cut of 4 mm.

The planer-thicknesser also features a variable feed speed of up to 7 m/min, allowing the workpiece feed to be adapted to the type of machining being carried out.

Circular saw tilting up to 45°

The circular saw unit is equipped with a 254 mm diameter carbide-tipped saw blade with a 30 mm bore.

The blade runs at 4000 rpm and can be tilted from 0° to 45°, allowing both straight and angled cuts.

The maximum cutting capacity is:

• 78 mm at 90°;
• 63 mm at 45°.

The machine offers a maximum cutting capacity of 380 mm and a rip capacity at the parallel fence of 710 mm.

The compact 400 x 250 mm sliding table makes it easier to guide workpieces during sawing operations.

Spindle moulder with 4 speeds

The Holzmann K5260SMART is equipped with a spindle moulder featuring a 30 mm diameter spindle.

Four spindle speeds are available:

1400, 4000, 6000 and 9000 rpm.

These different speeds allow the rotation speed to be adapted to the diameter and type of cutter being used.

The table opening is 160 mm. The maximum tool diameter is 160 mm below the table and 180 mm above the table, providing a wide range of possibilities for profiling, grooving, rebating and edge machining.

Three independent motors for the different functions

The Holzmann K5260SMART combination woodworking machine is equipped with three independent motors, providing suitable power for the different machining units:

• circular saw motor: 2.2 kW;
• spindle moulder motor: 1.5 kW;
• planer-thicknesser motor: 2.2 kW.

This version operates on 230 V / 50 Hz, making it suitable for workshops without a 400 V three-phase power supply.

Compact combination woodworking machine for optimising workshop space

With overall dimensions of 1640 x 1350 x 1150 mm, the K5260SMART combines several woodworking functions while keeping its footprint to a minimum.

The main table measures 920 x 500 mm and provides a working height of 850 mm.

With a net weight of 335 kg, the machine provides a stable base for sawing, surface planing, thicknessing and spindle moulding operations.

The optional Holzmann UFEK5 mobility kit is available to make it easier to move the machine around the workshop.

Important Probois Recommendations for this and many other woodworking machines

Before starting the machine for the first time, always carefully inspect the inside of the machine. Check that the belts are correctly positioned, retighten bolts and fasteners, lubricate the tables and inspect the main components. Transport and handling can cause vibrations, which may result in slight movement or loosening of parts.

• Always use an extension cable with a minimum conductor cross-section of 2.5 mm².
• The extension cable must not exceed 10 metres and must be fully uncoiled during use.
• The use of cable reels, multi-socket adapters or power strips is prohibited.
• The electrical installation must be protected by a minimum 16 A circuit breaker suitable for machine motor starting currents.
• The electrical installation must comply with current standards and be equipped with neutral and earth connections.
• Always use the machine with a suitable chip and dust extractor, for your health, the correct operation of the machine and compliance with warranty conditions.
• Always maintain the cast-iron tables with a suitable woodworking table lubricant to improve workpiece movement and protect the surfaces.
• Always operate the machine with all guards and safety devices correctly fitted.
• Never work with blunt, dull or damaged planer knives. This can damage the mechanism or the thicknesser feed system and may cause belt failure.
• Machine will not start? First check that the chip extraction hood on the planer-thicknesser side is correctly positioned. It activates a safety switch that prevents the machine from starting if the hood is not properly fitted.
