The primer bulb for Scheppach and Woodster chainsaws – Ref. 3910106004 is designed to help deliver fuel to the carburettor before starting the engine.

By pressing the bulb several times, it primes the fuel system and helps remove air from the fuel lines, making starting easier, especially when the engine is cold or after a long period of non-use.

A primer bulb in good condition helps ensure faster starting and a proper fuel supply to the carburettor.

When should the primer bulb be replaced?

The primer bulb for Scheppach and Woodster chainsaws – Ref. 3910106004 may need to be replaced in the following cases:

• Bulb is cracked, punctured or torn
• Rubber has hardened, cracked or become deformed
• Bulb remains pressed in after being pushed
• Bulb no longer fills correctly with fuel
• Fuel leakage around the bulb
• Difficulty priming the fuel system
• Air leak around the bulb or its connections
• Engine has become difficult to start after a period of non-use

A damaged or porous primer bulb should be replaced, as it can cause an air leak and prevent the carburettor from receiving the correct fuel supply.
