The blade guard for Scheppach, Woodster, Parkside and Dexter mitre saws – Ref. 3901105035 is designed to protect the user against accidental contact with the saw blade while operating the machine.

It covers the part of the blade that should not be exposed and follows the movement of the cutting head to limit access to the rotating blade.

It also helps reduce the projection of sawdust, wood chips and small debris generated during cutting.

A blade guard in good condition is an essential safety component for the proper operation of the mitre saw and must never be removed or disabled during use.

When should the blade guard be replaced?

The blade guard for Scheppach, Woodster, Parkside and Dexter mitre saws – Ref. 3901105035 should be replaced in the following cases:

• Guard is cracked, broken or deformed
• Guard no longer covers the blade correctly
• Mechanism jams or moves with difficulty
• Guard no longer returns automatically to its position
• Mounting points are broken or severely worn
• Excessive play in the mechanism
• Guard rubs against the blade
• Part damaged following an impact or improper handling

A faulty blade guard must be replaced before the saw is used again, as it is an essential safety component.

The machine must not be used with a broken, jammed, removed or disabled blade guard.
