The Holzmann K5310VPSMW2 allows you to perform the main woodworking operations without having to install several separate machines in your workshop.

It combines:

• circular saw for ripping and sizing panels and timber;
• scoring unit for clean cuts in coated panels and reduced chipping;
• spindle moulder for profiling, grooving, rebating and edge machining;
• surface planer for flattening faces and squaring edges;
• thicknesser for accurately calibrating workpieces to the required thickness;
• optional mortising unit for extending the machine’s capabilities and producing joints.

The different functions are selected using a rotary selector switch, making the machine clear and practical to operate.

300 mm planer-thicknesser with helical cutterblock

One of the main advantages of this Holzmann combination woodworking machine is its planer-thicknesser equipped with a helical cutterblock and replaceable carbide inserts.

The 70 mm diameter cutterblock runs at 5500 rpm and provides smooth, efficient cutting performance.

This system delivers a regular cut and excellent surface finish. When one cutting edge of an insert becomes worn or damaged, the insert can be rotated to use a fresh cutting edge.

The 1300 x 310 mm surface planing tables provide a generous support area when machining timber. The maximum depth of cut is 3 mm for surface planing and 4 mm for thicknessing, while the maximum thicknessing height is 225 mm.

Circular saw with scoring unit for clean, accurate cuts

The Holzmann K5310VPSMW2 is equipped with a 315 mm main saw blade, providing a maximum cutting height of 100 mm at 90° and 80 mm at 45°.

The blade can be tilted from 0° to 45° by handwheel, making angle adjustments easy and precise.

The 100 mm scoring blade pre-cuts the underside of the panel before it reaches the main blade. This function is particularly useful when cutting melamine-faced, laminated or coated panels, helping to reduce chipping.

The 2000 x 270 mm aluminium sliding table, combined with a 730 x 580 mm outrigger table, makes it easier to handle and size larger workpieces. The maximum cutting length is 2000 mm.

Spindle moulder with 4 speeds

The spindle moulder is equipped with a 30 mm spindle and offers four spindle speeds:

3000, 6000, 8000 and 10,000 rpm.

These different speeds allow the rotation speed to be adapted to the diameter and type of cutter being used.

The maximum tool diameter is 180 mm above and below the table, providing a wide range of possibilities for profiling, grooving and edge machining.

Before starting the machine for the first time, always inspect the inside of the machine. Check that the belts are correctly positioned, retighten bolts and fasteners, lubricate the tables and inspect the main components, as transport and handling can cause vibrations and slight movement of parts.

• Always use an extension cable with a minimum conductor cross-section of 2.5 mm².
• The extension cable must not exceed 10 metres and must be fully uncoiled during use.
• The use of cable reels, multi-socket adapters or power strips is strictly prohibited.

• The electrical installation must comply with current standards and be equipped with neutral and earth connections.

• Regularly lubricate and protect the cast-iron tables with a suitable woodworking table lubricant.
• Always operate the machine with all safety guards and protective devices correctly fitted.
• Never work with blunt or damaged planer knives or cutting inserts, as this can damage the mechanism and thicknesser feed system or cause belt failure.
• Machine will not start? Check that the chip extraction hood on the planer-thicknesser side is correctly positioned. The machine is fitted with a safety switch that prevents starting if the hood is not properly installed.
