The Tormek T-8 Original is a powerful and versatile water-cooled sharpening system that has everything you need to take your sharpening to the next level. The Tormek T-8 Original is equipped with loads of smart features to make your sharpening easier. For example, the water trough has a convenient screw lift to easily raise and lower the water trough. It also has a double function magnetic scraper: during sharpening, the magnet collects steel particles, and after sharpening, the scraper will make it easy to clean the water trough. For long tools that may drip water outside the water trough (like chef's knives and planer blades), you can easily fit the enclosed water chute onto the edge of the water trough.
EzyLock – quick and easy switching of grinding wheels
Another worked-through detail is the stainless-steel main shaft with Tormek's unique EzyLock nut, which enables tool-free locking and unlocking of the grinding wheel. The EzyLock also makes it easy to change grinding wheels if you work with some of Tormek's special grindstones SB-250 Blackstone Silicon or SJ-250 Japanese Waterstone.

With Tormek's patented KJ-45 Centering Knife Jig, you'll get symmetrical bevels with the same angle on both sides of the knife, regardless of the thickness or geometry of the blade. Whether you're sharpening a regular kitchen knife or a thicker, tapered hunting knife, you'll get the same results on both bevels of the knife without needing to reset the jig. The KJ-45 Centering Knife Jig fits most types of knives: household knives, chef's knives, craft knives and knives for hunting and fishing. It also works for the woodcarver's straight drawknives and the gardener's pruning shears.
This well-balanced, patented jig provides extra stability when sharpening knives with long, flexible blades such as filleting knives. With the KJ-140 Wide Centering Knife Jig, you achieve symmetrical sharpening with the same angle on both sides of the blade. Regardless of the thickness and geometry of the blade, it will self-center in the jig, giving you the same result on both bevels. The longer clamp stabilizes flexible knife blades to prevent them from flexing, so that you get the same angle and pressure over the entire bevel.
The SE-77 Square Edge Jig makes it easy to set your chisels and plane irons for straight 90° sharpening. The design of the jig paves the way for successful sharpening with outstanding precision. You can also set the jig to sharpen a slightly rounded shape on the edge.
The Tormek SVH-320 Planer Blade Attachment allows you to sharpen HSS planer blades of any length. Also suitable for miter trimmer blades. Accurate setting ensures precise sharpening along the entire edge.
