20 to 30 mm spindle sleeve adaptor for Kity 626

Do you own an older Kity 626 spindle moulder or Kity combination machine fitted with a 20 mm spindle? This adaptor sleeve converts the usable section of the 20 mm spindle to a 30 mm diameter, allowing spindle moulder tooling with a 30 mm bore to be fitted.

This is a particularly useful solution for keeping an older Kity machine in service while gaining access to the much wider range of modern spindle moulder tooling available with a 30 mm bore.

Convert a 20 mm spindle for 30 mm bore tooling

The 20/30 mm adaptor sleeve fits over the machine's 20 mm spindle and provides a 30 mm outside diameter for mounting the cutter block or other compatible spindle moulder tooling.

It therefore allows tooling with a 30 mm bore to be fitted, provided that its dimensions and operating specifications remain within the capacities of the spindle moulder.

Supplied with spacer rings

The set includes the adaptor sleeve and several spacer rings. The different thicknesses can be combined to adjust the position of the tooling and fill the available space on the spindle according to the height of the cutter block being used.

The adaptor sleeve provides a usable height of 40 mm.

Which Kity machines is it suitable for?

This adaptor is intended in particular for older Kity machines fitted with a 20 mm spindle, including:

• Kity 626 spindle moulders;
• Kity K5 combination machines fitted with the corresponding spindle;
• certain older Kity configurations fitted with a compatible Ø20 mm spindle.

As older Kity machines were produced in different versions, we strongly recommend checking the spindle diameter of your machine before ordering.

Give your older Kity spindle moulder a new lease of life

30 mm bore spindle moulder tooling is now much more widely available than older 20 mm bore tooling. This adaptor therefore provides a practical way to continue using a Kity 626 or older Kity combination machine while considerably increasing the choice of available tooling.

You can select compatible 30 mm bore cutter blocks and tooling instead of being limited to older, harder-to-find 20 mm bore tools.

Important information before fitting tooling

The 20 to 30 mm conversion only changes the mounting diameter for the tooling. It does not increase the capacities of the spindle moulder. The diameter, height, operating speed and type of tooling must always remain compatible with the specifications and limits of your machine.
