• Signs of oil seepage between mating surfaces

• Crankcase opened to repair the crankshaft or internal components

• Engine reassembly after mechanical work

It is recommended to always replace the gasket whenever the crankcase is opened to ensure a proper seal during reassembly.

Before installing the new gasket, it is important to thoroughly clean the mating surfaces and check that they are not deformed or damaged, as this could cause another oil leak.
