This type of part is not guaranteed because the possible causes of a recoil starter breakage are typically related to use (excessive pull, blocked engine, and too many starting attempts).

Possible causes of a recoil starter breakage on a petrol engine :

• * Faulty valve (for a 4-stroke engine)
• * Tightness: If there is a lack of oil in the mixture (for a 2-stroke engine), the engine may be "Tight" (seized piston, broken bearing, etc.), making it difficult or even impossible to launch.
• * Accumulation of oil or fuel in the combustion chamber (hydroblocking)
• = Consequence = Too much force on the rope → it breaks.
