15A overload protector for Holzmann and Bernardo planer thicknessers

This overload protector, item 194, is a replacement part designed for several Holzmann and Bernardo planer thicknessers operating on 230V.

Rated at 15A, this electrical component trips when the current drawn by the machine becomes abnormally high. It therefore helps to protect the motor and electrical components against excessive current caused by an overload.

After the device has tripped and once the cause of the overload has been identified and corrected, the protector can be manually reset using its push button.

What is the function of the overload protector item 194?

The overload protector interrupts the electrical circuit when the current exceeds the permitted level of the device.

It helps protect the machine when abnormal operating conditions cause the motor to draw excessive current.

Before replacing it, the cause of the overload should be investigated, such as excessive motor load, a blocked mechanism, a faulty belt or drive system, an electrical problem or excessive cutting load.
