An important recommendation from Probois for many woodworking machines, such as this combination machine :

Before starting up, always check the inside of your machine, make sure the belts are correctly installed, tighten the bolts, grease the tables, etc., as the various transport procedures cause vibrations.

Always use a 2.5 mm² wire extension cord.

The extension cord must not exceed 10 meters and must not be coiled.

The use of reels, power strips, or multi-sockets is PROHIBITED.

Install an electrical meter with special machine start fuses of at least 16A.

Have a compliant electrical meter with neutral and ground connections.

Always work with a dust collector for your health and to maintain the machine's warranty.

Always grease cast iron tables with wood lubricant.

Always work with the safety guards in place.

Do not work with dull or blunt blades; this can damage the mechanism, the planer feed, or break the belt.

The machine won't start? The chip ejection cover is probably incorrectly installed on the jointer/planer side; it's a safety feature!
